Four students emerged out of four Regional competitions throughout Rotary District 7430.  In February and March of this year, 25 Rotary Clubs conducted their own Club level contests using a similar format.

An audience of more than 200 Rotarians and guests, including the students’ parents, witnessed a display of skill and courage by the four high school age students as they delivered passionate speeches on topics of their own choice. Throughout their speeches they applied and examined the four questions we ask ourselves to guide our thoughts, words and actions, known as “The Four Way Test”. (1. Is it the Truth? 2. Is it Fair to all concerned? 3. Will it build Goodwill and better Friendships? 4. Is it Beneficial to all concerned?) Following the last of the four speeches the audience erupted in a thunderous standing ovation in recognition of the four students’ remarkable speeches.
